In February - March 2011, I traveled via the Holland America Line’s Veendam to South America. The ship disembarked from Valparaiso Chile and ended a month later at Rio De Janeiro Brazil with stops in a variety of Chile, Falkland Islands, Argentina, Uruguay and Brazilian ports along with sailing around Cape Horn.


In August - September 2010,  I traveled via the Holland America Line’s Eurodam on a Repositioning Cruise the disembarked from Amsterdam Holland and ended a nearly a month later at New York City with stops in Sweden, Estonia, St. Petersburg Russia, Finland, Denmark, Amsterdam, Scotland, Faroe Islands, Okney Islands, Iceland, Greenland, Newfoundland Canada and New York City. Hurricane Earl kept the ship from two ports in Nova Scotia.

In April - May 2012, I traveled via Cosmos Escorted Tours (part of Globus) to Eastern Europe. The trip consisted of two tours [Central Europe -and- Treasurers of the Balkans & Transylvania]. The trip started on April 8, 2012 in Frankfurt Germany and ended on May 6, 2012 in Budapest Hungary.

In May 2014, I traveled with Trafalgar  to Holland, Luxembourg and Belgium and then with Globus to Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia, Slovenia, Triese Italy, Bratislava Slovakia and Vienna Austria for a total of 25 days on on-road travel via coach.

The ship left from San Diego on March 24 and visited Hawaii (Hilo, Lahaina, Honolulu & Kona), Fanning Island (Kirabati), Cruised past Christmas Island (Kirabati), Rarotonga (Cook Islands), The Society Islands-French Polynesia (Raiatea, Bora Bora, Papeete, Moorea, Rangiroa), Marquesas Islands (Nuku Hiva) crossed the Equator and the International Dateline twice and ended back in San Diego on April 26, a total of 33 days.
